Since our recording session last year we've had quite a bit of material to chew on.   We've posted a couple new songs, "Touch of Evil" and "Profile Picture", and the response has been great.  We've been getting new fans from all over the world.  We've still got five more songs to mix so stay tuned.  Finding the time is the big challenge.  On the near horizon, we'll be playing at Meyer Hall at Ex'pression College on February 28.  The performance will also be webcast live so, if you want to check us out, distance from San Francisco should not be an issue!

After about a year since our last recording session, we finally got back into the studio at Ex'pressions College in Emeryville to lay down some new material.  After an eight hour recording session in "the heptagon", and an additional four hour overdub session, we managed to record six new songs, plus a vocal track for a song left over from last year's session.  So all in all we have seven new songs that we need to edit and mix.  This could take a while.

The recording engineers were all students, guided by a couple teachers.  They were very professional and helpful and allowed us to make a lot of progress.  Kudos to them.  And if any of them are reading this, thanks again guys!  I will also say that we played at least some role in the efficiency, by being prepared.  So if you are planning to do some recording there, for your own sake as well as for the sake of the students, make sure you have your material down cold.

Now that fall is here, we're assembling once again.  We've got a bunch of shows lined up around town.  In October, we're planning to get into the recording studio and lay down some more material.  Thanks for your support.  We look forward to seeing you at one of our shows.

The summer season has started and the members of District 8 are taking some R&R. But there's stuff going on behind the scenes and we're planning some gigs for the fall.
